Biography

A graduate of Thiel College and the Duquesne University School of Law, Attorney James E. Douglas is a founding partner of the Law Firm of Douglas, Joseph & Olson. Attorney Douglas has been practicing law in Mercer County since 1987. He focuses his practice in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, personal injury, and estates. He has secured a number of personal injury settlements in excess of a million dollars for his local clients and more than one hundred and fifty six-figure settlements for his Workers’ Compensation clients.

Attorney Douglas is an experienced litigator who prides himself on his preparation of his client’s claims. He vigorously represents the needs of his clients, as he understands how important their claim is to their lives and families. He is committed to the individual client and understands the stressful times they are encountering, so he returns calls in a timely manner and is available to answer questions as they arise. Attorney Douglas has devoted himself to serving the legal needs of the communities of Mercer and Crawford Counties for over 27 years. He represents several local municipalities, both boroughs and townships and for many years has been associated with several local labor organizations. A frequent lecturer, Attorney Douglas has made presentations to numerous schools, labor organizations, businesses, civic organizations, and labor associations.

Attorney Douglas is a member of the Mercer County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Solicitors.
